A more powerful AI-native operational platform
This release brings real-time AI usage control, automatic credit purchases with Emma, US sales tax automation, improved workspace provisioning, and a new mobile warehouse operations app.
Platform Update June 4, 2026A more flexible, measurable, and operational Binhex Cloud
We continue evolving Binhex Cloud into an AI-native operational platform designed to help companies deploy, manage, and automate their business operations faster.
This update focuses on AI usage management, operational workspace provisioning, advanced administrative controls, US sales tax calculation, and mobile warehouse execution.
AI Usage
Real-time AI token monitoring and automatic credit purchases
Administrators can now monitor AI token consumption across production containers through improved usage dashboards and operational analytics.
This makes it easier to understand how AI resources are being consumed, detect usage peaks, and manage AI adoption across operational workspaces.
Users who run out of AI credits can now purchase additional tokens automatically through Emma. Instead of interrupting their workflow or waiting for manual intervention, Emma can guide them through the credit purchase process directly inside the platform.
Operational Workspaces
More flexible websites and automated workspace provisioning
Website visual snippets are now more flexible and no longer force a full-screen layout. They can be embedded naturally inside standard Odoo Website building blocks, making landing pages and commercial pages easier to design.
Operational environments can now be provisioned directly from the online store, either individually or as bundled offerings. Once the purchase is confirmed, Binhex Cloud automatically creates and activates the corresponding customer workspace.
Container cloning has also been improved. When duplicating workspaces, custom configurations and active development versions are preserved, making it safer to work with testing, staging, and customer-specific environments.
To protect ongoing work, automatic updates are now paused whenever active development versions or ongoing tests are detected.
US Sales Tax
Provider-agnostic US Sales Tax Engine for Odoo
This release introduces l10n_us_sales_tax_engine, a provider-agnostic hybrid sales tax calculation engine for Odoo, designed to support tax calculation workflows across all 50 US states.
The engine first checks a local tax rate database for zero-latency lookups. The initial dataset includes Florida Department of Revenue seed data for 67 counties. If a local match is not available, the system uses a priority-based fallback chain: ZipTax, API Ninjas, and TaxJar.
Providers that have exhausted their monthly usage limit are skipped automatically, while response caching with configurable TTL helps reduce external API calls. The default cache period is 30 days.
Every calculation generates an immutable audit log including source, provider, address, rate breakdown, and tax result. The engine also supports nexus management per company and state, economic nexus thresholds, product fiscal categories, sale order integration, customer invoice integration, and internal REST endpoints.
Supported fiscal categories include tangible goods, services, food, medicine, digital products, shipping, exempt products, and more.
Administration
Advanced control for operational environments
Administrators now have more control over security, AI deployments, customer environments, and platform usage.
A new visual configuration screen makes it easier to connect centralized LDAP authentication servers. Teams can also switch between different assistant branches or versions during deployment, which is useful for testing improvements, validating changes, or applying hotfixes without modifying the base setup.
AI agents can now be enabled, disabled, and limited through configurable usage controls, giving administrators more flexibility over how AI is used across each operational environment.
Internal Operations
Better tools for sales and support teams
Sales and internal teams now have improved tools to manage customer access, resource consumption, and trial usage.
Sales users can update container storage consumption status from the back-office, making it easier to track service usage and customer status in real time.
We also added an optimized view to request access to client containers, a redesigned section to create users and manage passwords, and new controls to update the number of credits or tokens available in trial environments.
External approval flows have also been improved. Approval requests can be sent directly to clients, and access can be configured automatically once permission is granted.
Warehouse Operations
New mobile warehouse operations app
This release also introduces a new mobile warehouse operations app, available now in Binhex Cloud. The app is designed to provide a faster and more focused experience for warehouse teams working from tablets and mobile devices.
The interface follows a Point-of-Sale-like experience built with OWL, replacing slower backend workflows with a cleaner mobile-first operational flow.
The app supports picking operations, receipts, delivery orders, internal transfers, inventory adjustments, scrap workflows, quick purchase creation, product and location lookups, employee assignment, delivery zone selection, and lot or serial traceability.
Functionally, the app covers the main warehouse flows expected from barcode-based operations, including receipts, deliveries, internal transfers, inventory adjustments, product checks, and location checks.
The application is currently available inside Binhex Cloud. It has not yet been published in OCA, but we plan to make it available through a community repository in an upcoming phase.
Native hardware scanner integration through Odoo BarcodeScanner services is also part of the next development phase, enabling automatic scanner detection and real-time scan-driven workflows.
